JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes

Dear Patients,

Dr. Hughes and his team are excited to be a part of the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes.  The walk draws people together in a healthy activity for a worthy cause and for the first time will be held in The Woodlands.  At the same time, we are honored to be sponsoring two of our amazing patients, Jill and Jac Johnson, A.K.A THE SUPER TWINS!!!

Below you can read the SUPER TWINS story and understand why we need your support.

Sincerely,

Dr. Hughes and his Team

Dear Friends and Family,

It is that time of year when we turn to you for help.  I have been writing this letter for eight years now.  The first letter started when Jac was two and was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.  As the years went by, our family turned to you for support.  You supported us through prayers, donations, and walking with us at JDRF Walk To Cure Diabetes.  Four years later, Jillian was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.  There is nothing easy about having a child (Or children) with diabetes.

Super Twins has managed to raise over $70,000 over the past eight years. Last year, we had over 50 friends and family walk with us at Reliant Park.  Of course, Randy and I are thrilled to raise money that will one day help find a cure for our sweet Jac & Jill and the other thousand of children who suffer from Type 1, but I have to tell you….It is all of your support that we appreciate the most.  Your kind words, emails, and thoughtfulness are what keep us going.

This year, our family is thrilled that JDRF is bringing a walk to The Woodlands. Please join our team, Super Twins and walk with us at The Woodlands United Methodist Church on Saturday, November 10.

If you forget why we need your help and support….please watch the video we made reminding us why we feel so strong about finding a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.  Click here to watch video.

If you would like to make a donation and/or join our walk team, please go to www.tinyurl.com/supertwins2012

This enables us to keep track of all donations made to JDRF in honor of Jac & Jill.

With sincere appreciation and gratitude,

Randy, Kellie, Cameron, Jac & Jill
